Organization committee
The role of the organization committee is to organize the current edition of GTTSE. This includes adjustment of the scope for the current edition, selection of dates and place (the latter being always the same hotel in Braga so far), identification of overall topics and invitation of appropriate speakers, advertisement, financial administration, provision of help to the speakers regarding various matters, running the actual event, and guidance of all work towards the post-proceedings published with Springer.

Scientific committee
The scientific committee of GTTSE plays a key role in the success of this event. Its members are expected to communicate the event within their schools or organizations and among their peers and students. In this manner, GTTSE is broadly communicated across the computer science areas that are thought to be connected and advanced by GTTSE. Where applicable, committee members are encouraged to identify suitable PhD or MSc students and encourage them to join GTTSE and actively participate in the school. The scientific committee is also involved in post-school reviewing of the briefings by renowned researchers. The reviewing process is not selective, as it is instead meant to ensure quality and readability for the invited briefings to be published with Springer. Given that briefings (as defined by GTTSE) are relatively short publications and given the size the GTTSE scientific committee, this workload is small: we predict that up to 2 briefings will need to be revised per committee member. In addition to reviewing briefings, the committee may also be involved in shepherding short participants' contributions to the post-proceedings.
